Science Integrity Problem

Growing retraction rates indicate that the quality of scientific literature is decreasing. Irreproducibility, inconsistencies, errors or straight-up fraud are more and more prevalent. Tens of billions of dollars are being wasted annually due to poor research practices. Ever since the rise of AI it is easier than ever to produce fraud papers.

Our Solution

We propose an easy-to-use scientific paper quality checker app. It helps scientists better select papers they read, cite and base experiments on. Currently, it is based on metadata, bibliometrics and citation network analyses to look for suspicious patterns such as retracted citations or excessive self-citations. We are planning to implement an AI peer-reviewer to check for lacking data integrity, factual errors, tortured phrases and inconsistencies within the text.
